It is like our identity card number is each plate for a unique, exclusive number. According to the series number we can find the original technical data of the plate for. For example, the number of plates and gaskets, details, materials and other key information when ordering spare parts.
If the original information of the equipment can not be found how to determine the plate for a set of gasket number? In addition to the effort of a piece of sheet number, we can also be based on the nameplate on the fourth line of the process combination to determine.
For example
The process combination 30+15/30+15 means that this unit is 2-stage.
The first section is 30*2+1 totalling 61 slices
The second section is 15*2+1 total 31 pieces
The total number of intermediate plate gaskets needed for this device is 60+30=90 pieces, plus 2 head plate gaskets, the total number of plates is 61+31=92 pieces.
The small diagram at the bottom left of the nameplate can be of great use when the unit is being reinstalled after a replacement! The numbers marked above (e.g. 374/361) are a range of sizes after the plate change press.
If it is larger than the maximum number, leakage is very likely to occur during pressing!
If it is smaller than the minimum number, the plate will most likely be deformed, which will also cause leakage.
Gasket material application range
Nitrile is mostly used in water and oil, vegetable and mineral oils.
EPDM is a high temperature resistant material for hot water or steam and can also be used for a wide range of chemicals, e.g. weak acids, not fats or oils.
HTEPDM is a high temperature resistant material for hot water or steam and can be used for a wide range of chemicals, e.g. weak acids, not fats or oils.
FPM (Viton) Food is a non-toxic material that can be used in a wide range of applications with organic solvents, chemicals or vegetable oils.
The material of the gasket can be determined by the small colour scale on the top side of the gasket, usually yellow and blue for Nitrile, grey for EPDM, etc.
Storage environment and life of gaskets
Gaskets should be stored in a room temperature, ventilated, dry, avoid sunlight environment. If the gasket has been stored for 3 years, it is recommended to arrange the use of it quickly, because the gasket material will have aging phenomenon occurs, which will affect the sealing effect.
Differences in head plate gaskets
T series, H series, N series
These series of head plate gaskets do not have a one-time moulding, they are sheared and spliced out by the middle plate gasket and port sealing ring. The head plate gasket is used in the first sheet behind the fixed side compression plate and the first sheet behind the intermediate partition plate or conversion plate. Two intermediate plate gaskets without clips are cut as shown in the picture, the O-ring at the "a" corner is cut off, and a special port seal is fitted to the fixed side of the plate, the number of which is determined by the number of holes in the fixed-side compression plate or intermediate partition plate.
Q Series, A Series, J Series
The head plate gaskets of these series are machined from a one-off gasket, but most of them have to be machined again for on-site installation.
The Q series has three types: Q030, Q055, and Q080. The head plate gasket is based on Q055, Q055 can be installed directly, Q030 to cut off a section; Q080 cut and then add a section (specially made a section of the seal Oh) on the completion of the work.
There are three models of A series, A055, A085 and A145. Taking the headboard gasket of A085 as a reference, A085 can be installed directly; A055 has to cut out a section in the fixed position; A145 has to be cut out in the fixed position and then a section can be added in.
The J series has four models: J060, J092, J107 and J185. It is based on the head plate gasket of J107, J107 can be installed directly; J060, J092 cut a section in the fixed position; J185 cut plus a section at the fixed point.
