The SUPERCHANGER plate heat exchanger used for copper processing has two cleaning methods: manual cleaning and on-site cleaning. If the conditions are available, the in-situ cleaning system should be used as much as possible, because the in-situ cleaning system can pump water (or cleaning solution) into the inside of the device without disassembling the heat exchanger. If the in-situ cleaning system is not practical for your plant, you can clean the device manually. The following will focus on some brief discussions on cleaning-in-place cleaning steps.
Precautions for plate heat exchanger plate cleaning
(1) Do not use hydrochloric acid or water with a chloride concentration of more than 300×10-6 to wash stainless steel plates.
(2) Do not use phosphoric acid or sulfuric acid to clean the titanium plate.
(3) Usually the concentration of the cleaning solution should be below 4% (except in special cases), and the temperature of the cleaning solution should not exceed 60°C.
