Plate heat exchanger application in beer production :
1. Sterilisation
Before cooling the wort, the use of hot water above 80 ℃ on the side of the plate heat exchanger to go wort and wort pipeline for hot water circulation sterilisation, the time is not less than 30 minutes. This step is essential to ensure the quality of the wort.

2. Precise temperature control
In the wort cooling process, you need to pay attention to the wort and cooling water or refrigerant temperature of the import and export, timely adjustment of the valve, control the flow, to ensure that the wort export temperature is stable in the process within the scope of the provisions of the up and down no more than 0.5 ℃. Such precise control is very important to ensure the flavour and quality of beer.

3. Control the cooling time
Wort cooling time is best controlled within 60 minutes. This is not only related to the utilisation of the gyratory settling tank, but also directly affects the quality of the wort. Too long cooling time may lead to the wort in the cold condensate and hop resin and other substances adhering to the plate, affecting the heat transfer effect.

4. Regular dismantling and cleaning of the heat exchanger
In order to ensure proper operation of the heat exchanger, it is necessary to remove and clean the heat exchanger plates at regular intervals. Substances such as cold condensate and hop resin in the wort will adhere to the plates, affecting the heat exchange effect.

5. Pay attention to the pressure difference
The maximum working pressure of the plate heat exchanger is usually 1MPa. There will be a pressure difference between the cooling water side and the wort side of the heat exchanger, and the normal working pressure is generally 0.2~0.4MPa. If the pressure difference is too high, the plate may be deformed, which will lead to a decline in the sealing performance of the gasket. Therefore, the pressure difference should be controlled during operation to avoid damage to the equipment.

6. Application range of heat exchanger
Plate heat exchanger is not only used for cooling of wort, but also for heating of wort, pasteurisation and cooling before filling in many production processes. Its efficient heat exchange capacity is vital to ensure the smooth running of beer production.
