    I. Principle of operation

    The semi-welded plate heat exchanger is constructed by positioning each of the two corrugated plates back-to-back and laser welding them together as a "box" along a sealing groove designed for the gasket of the semi-welded PHE. The semi-welded plates of the PHE are specifically designed for corrosive media and this construction has a welded seal on one side and a gasket seal on the other, eliminating the risk of corrosion of the seal. Sensitive media flow through the welded flow channels and conventional media flow through the conventional flow channels for heat transfer.
